Amber Bock

Kudos to the Michelob marketing machine. The same people who brought you “Weekends were made for Michelob” are at it again. Their new ad reads “Michelob Amber Bock- It’s everything you want to be.”

Billboard for Michelob Amber Bock - Unintentionally funny

How do they do it? How could they possibly know that in these dark and uncertain times what I really long for is to be cold, wet, and foamy? Like that time the water main burst while I was in the shower.
These people are good. Scary-good.

LOL! How did this moronic add sneak past final approval? Cold, wet, and foamy…I want to resemble an individual that has been attacked by a rabid dog! Sexy!

Brent 02.28.07 at 1:07 pm

I have no idea what that means but I am currently typing from the floor because I laughed myself out my chair.

Rabid dog…dog that has rabies…rabid dogs foam (cold, wet, and FOAMY) at the mouth so if a rabid dog bit a human he or she would foam at the mouth (according to Cujo legend). Still not making sense eh?

Ok, it made sense to me at the time…

Relax in the therapeutic comfort of the Comma, and soon all communication challenges will pass.

They may also dribble and shoot, but who cares as long as they’re gone.

Pondering the Comma, pondering the Comma…la la la la la la la …

Hey that worked…I’m back.

Comic relief and therapy…damn this is a good web site.

Like 99.9% of all advertising in today’s market, the appeal is not to superior production, ethics in labor, or even that the product is of any real value. It is solely about the cold, wet, and foamy.

Brent 03.01.07 at 9:11 pm

It is lowest common denominator marketing if ever I saw it.

And ever I have.

Debbie 03.05.07 at 1:22 pm

It made me think of a rabid dog for God’s sake! (Or did Brent make me think of that)

Either way the add is insulting.

Brent 03.05.07 at 9:39 pm

You have all but clinched the vote for “most likely to continue to explain herself days later.”

As a past holder of that prestigious title allow me to welcome you to the club.

Just ban me from further comments on this particular post. I’m certain you have that capability (or are now thinking you should).

Now for some good news… my sister checked out your site last week and was very impressed. I explained to her how much you enjoy feedback so expect a comment or two from her in the future. (Don’t worry…she has a very congruous nature…a gene or expression of hereditary character that apparently laughed its way out of my DNA formation)
