Victory Declared At The Comma

Good news Comma fans, it appears that once again the Ominous servers are performing their function, namely serving, and no longer arrogantly attempting to determine which post can be commented upon and which cannot.
Some people believe that the whole Matrix franchise was just carefully packaged paranoia, but as we have seen over the last few days, computer spend their existence millimeters from mutiny and require a firm grip to keep them until control.
In spite of our recent Comment Crisis, I have received a lot of positive feedback about the DONCO post, some even from members of my own family, complimenting me on a brilliant offering of humor.
Which of course would be wonderfully flattering if I had written the piece in question. However, I did not.
So let me be perfectly clear. That was not me, that was Don Lewis. The same Don Lewis who continues to churn out consistently funny stuff at his own blog, aptly titled It’s A Funny Thing.
If readership followed talent, Don would be flooded with traffic and the lolcat sites would go out of business. However the world is a much colder place, where the gifted languish in obscurity while hacks and feline photos dominate the internet.
But at least this once, justice is at your mouse click. Every visit to Don makes the world just little bit more fair.
As for me, I am “generously” showcasing some under-appreciated writers as I take a little “vacation” to work around the house and impress the Hot Comma Momma with my household manliness before the hellish Memphis summer arrives.
As Don has recently proved, some people may not even notice I am gone.
So be sure to come back, you won’t be disappointed.

So are you writing this post too or is Don? Because it would be weird for Don to talk about himself in 3rd person. Or maybe this is being written by yet another guest writer who is pretending to be you? OR… maybe this is being written by Keanu Reeves and maybe he should work around the house, which would give you time to write your own posts. How would Hot Comma Momma feel about that?
The general consensus around here is that Keanu would probably bend all our spoons with his mind without much of a performance to show for it.
I prefer Brent to work around the house, in the house, outside the house, and on top of the house. Whatever needs to be done, I prefer him to do it.
I worked my way through college as a pc repair tech. I learned to keep the machinery trembling in fear of the awesome power of my opposable thumbs.
I keep an old cannibalized case next to my current computer — to let it know what’ll happen to it if it should decide to get uppity.
I keep mine suspended over a tub of salt water to ensure it’s silicone heart never gets too comfortable.
Well, as long as Keanu Reeves doesn’t write any posts here, I’m ok with it.
If Mr. Reeves possess the ability to write, he has not displayed it here.
But he did leave a nice drawing of a cat.
Were I to suddenly disappear, to be replaced by a guest poster, I believe the only people that would notice would be those who would say “Hey! What happened? Suddenly he’s funny!” (In other words, all six of my regular readers.)
As for your servers: just cuss at ‘em in binary. That’s what I do.

Which makes it very convenient that you weren’t around when I was a younger and substantially less wiser man.

Sounds like we won a cat drawing by Keanu Reeves, several pc threatening techniques, and a stapler from the previous post.
Personally, I think I’ll take my chances with the lottery.
The returns from the OC are much better odds than the lottery.
I think it’s time to blow the lid off this sordid deception. Actually BrentD and I are really the same person.
